sachsenklemme, südtirol, IT

as every august in the last few years, my wife taught a seminar for teachers in the neustift abbey in south tirol. this time i was quite sick after my journey to peru, so i just drove her there on sunday and came back after 1 week for only 2 more days ... anyway, i could visit some well known and beloved places like the lake völser weiher below the schlern mountain, the beergarden + restaurant brückenwirt in neustift, the silence area at the small hill in natz .... and yes, i#ve had a lot time out there. i've even got a sunburn as i've waited 3 or 4 hours for my wife meanwhile in shadow and in sun listening to a martin armstrong interview about geopolitics + financial markets in natz ...

before our 3h drive home we have stopped for lunch at the hotel & restaurant sachsenklemme in their  new and modern AH brewery (andreas hofer brewery) in the village franzenfeste located directly at the highway +  the eisack river (isarco), so lets show ya few pictures from there, okay? 😉

btw, why sachsenklemme (saxons wedge)? well, for some strange reason, the saxons fought against the tiroleans thousand miles from home and yes, the tiroleans locked the saxons in the slim valley at the eisack river and throve huge stones from the hill on them. not nice at all, is it?
