ammertal + lechtal

our shortest + easiest hiking tour in the hills ever! on top, it is called altherrenweg, which means old boys path. well, the weather was bad aka cold & foggy and we are getting older as well 😄

anyway, enjoy few pictures from the hiking path in the upper ammer river valley (ammertal) above the oberammergau village / city. many of them edited by myself with google's photo editor in order to make them a little bit brighter and friendlier. on the way back, when we left the bavarian alps behind us, we could spend 1 or 2 hours in the sun 🌞 in the lech river valley at the römerkessel inn. this inn works here in lechtal (section fuchstal) since 1572 and is one of the oldest inns in bavaria and has a beautiful beer garden above the lech river.

what about one anecdote on top? the river ammer enters the lake ammersee at its south end and leaves it at its most northern point. fine, but what is the new name of the ammer river after its lake ammersee journey? amper 😆
