eckhart tolle ~ are you ready for the present moment?

40 seconds worth listening :-)=):-)

OMD, eckhardt tolle, how the hell could you write 230 pages (german edition) about 1 single idea which can be said in 1 single sentence? well, above was the WHOLE CONTENT in 40 SECONDS :-).

worst book i've ever read till the bitter end ... damned hell, why did i went through all that nonsence? why couldn't i throw it away? and why, no matter how long my break was and what i've read instead / in between i always came back to it? is it s.th. really important to me?

still wanna know more? why, my dear? it was strange, strange, strange ... maybe i'm not enough esoteric minded in order to understand? maybe, but could you concentrate for few minutes on  the room you are in right now? oh no, please don't concentrate on the things around you or the walls or the floor which limit the room, just concentrate on the room itself and feel the present moment, hahaha :-). WTF?

btw, did you know that tolle believes the most unhappiness is caused because we don't accept the reality? but don't worry, it isn't you which can't accept what really is, it is only your brains, not you, you know? your ego is also not you, it is only a creature of your brains ... etc and so forth. WTF again? and now tell me my friends, do you think i could accept my disastrous last years losses at the financial markets (approx 100k, OMG ;-() because i simply could OR cos i've learned to accept what really is thx to eckhart tolle? or why the hell liked my crazy wife our bali/indonesia holidays 2 or 3 years ago (while she has read that damned book) better then any other holiday? nope, she isn't 3 years ahead of me (i hope), she just read the book earlier ... and she has liked it, damn ;-). of course, i will never ever understand financial markets + women. well, even when indonesia was really interesting, i don't consider it among our top 5 vacations, u see? .... is it only because she could enjoy the present moment thx 2 tolle and my stupid brains just thought what to do next, compared every situation with s.th. in the past and s.th. else in some projected future ... hmmmmm ...

and yes, eckahrt tolle believes we humans wouldn't contaminate our planet if we hadn't that much rubbish in our brains ... and that we will change (+ save) the earth when we change ourselves .... hmmmmm again :-)

wanna know even much much much more? well, there is no hope more for you, my dear homo sapiens presentis, but i've warned you, didn't i?

~~~
i've just found a nice overview about how to find peace of mind or the other way round, how to declutter our minds, so let's post it here next to tolle's wisdom ... and yes, the #1 issue sounds somehow familiar to you, is that right?
morocco
cold days + cold nights + cold wind + cold water in the tourist mekka ‚agadir‘, OMG! much much colder than munich, we have had SUMMER in germany the last few days .... hmmmmm, do u have any idea why do folks call africa the hot continent? so what, lets enjoy holidays anyway :-)
btw, there is a wifi access in the lobby, so i had to see how badly crashed the gold + silver price yesterday (more than -4% each) and then -5% today after gold reached the crazy all-time-high of $1,912 per ounce in the early trading hours in asia/australia on tuesday. of course, i had to laugh when i saw that many mining companies were down 5% cos it is the same rate they were up on the previous day. yes, homo sapiens financialis is really that stupid, ive told ya before, didnt i?
well, i will prolly start the trading battle again as investing makes completely no sense at current levels of stupidity all over the financial markets. as for now i dont have any finance lecture here in order to give my 'peace of mind' some chance :-). so whats my current literature? eckhart tolle‘s 'the power of now – a guide to spirutual enlightenment'. so when you can follow my gibberish from now on, the enlightenment stuff really works! optimistic me, i still hope there will be a day in the future my writing makes any sense, u see?
of course, there will be some additional insights and a picasa photo album soon, but pls be patient as our vacation just begun. as for me, i hope to learn more abt the arab color revolutions, 2 see the castle + port of agadir, 2 visit the atlas mountains and the city of marrakech, …
~~~

thx goodness, ive found the only warm place in agadir 2day! it was inside the hamam, my dear :-). btw, are there any arab (speaking) folks who would like to translate the message written below the castle ruines of agadir?
any ideas out there?

... allah, homeland, king :)
~~~
the challenging and thus quite unfriendly ‚tasting‘ muslim ramadan month was over after the 1st week of our stay and from one day to another changed the local people to friendly, smiling, sports playing and jokes making folks. hmmmm, what a difference when they are ‚allowed‘ to drink and eat during the day! if u asked me, the god(s) dont like suffering people and the rigid ramadan rules are made by people not by god i believe … of course, im not a quran expert, but as far as i can remember, one of my munich muslim friends told me that the ‚no food no drinks‘ rule is s.th. what can be tried by highly conscious muslim believers and it is even forbidden in many cases (pregnant women, elderly, children, on trips, sick people, etc) and it is definitely not a rule for all. after all, she has studied quran and would be prolly a quran school theacher if she had participated (and passed) the exams, not me … well, who knows whats good and whats wrong? prolly noone completely, so lets accept strange behaviour as part of foreign culture and do not try to convince the folks to change it as the others also do not try to change us :-)
well, what else?
  • volleyball on the beach ~ the only place with concrete below the thinny sand foil in the universe of sand! many (small) injuries happened, i can tell ya ;-(
  • playing cards with my wife + youngest daughter. not too much fun as ive seldom won a game and never won the whole battle, omd!
  • swimming or rather jumping in the waves ~ we stock traders know a lot abt the waves, so i was ahead the crowd once again :-)
  • marrakech ~ unesco's world cultural heritage ~ a disappointment for me, ive prolly expected too much (see the attached picasa pictures below). at least our travel guide youssef was great and told us a lot abt the city & moroccain history.
  • jeep safari ~ a great day trip to the fisherman folks living in caves directly on the beach, berber taxi (donkey ride), sahara, berber limousine (camel ride), city of tiznit with its medivial city walls + stinking 'open air' meat shops in 40+ degrees celsius (btw, it was the same in tunisia and in the caribbean [dominican republic] but never in far east => ???), berber lunch (lunch), a silver manufacture, atlas mountains, massa river, dam (drinking water + agricultural water, no power generation) ~ a real surprise in the middle of all that dry countryside, …
  • the CIA sponsored color revolutions (10m hits by google)? ive no clue abt that issue here in morocco; the morrocans seem to like their king + he also doesnt claim he was elected democratically + on top we were told he tries 2 help the poor, but there is a huuuuuge gap between the rich and poor (and there always has been) so we never know what happens next ... especially because morocco is also without oil an interesting place 2 control for its geographical presence and thus somehow important for the 'new world order' idea (we do not wanna google that term, want we?) ...
  • good holiday wheather in the 2nd week of our stay (hot days + cold nights + cold wind + cold water) ~ hell, why did nobody tell us that there is ALWAYS ugly fog in agadir in augusts? well, i do always tell ya when i know s.th. for sure, like the gold rallies in augusts issue, u see?
  • catastrophic bureaucracy ~ passport controls, entry card, exit card, money change (esp. from dirhams back to €uros / dollars), very slow (and shallow!) airport controls/processing, ...
  • any ideas 4 improvement? yep, it is a interesting country, but it is a little bit pity that they throw their waste on the streets, beaches, fields, wilderness … everywhere ;-( ... my dear maroccans, pls keep your country clean ... and yes, do s.th. against bureaucracy :-)
last but not least: pictures, pictures, pictures ... but watch out, ive posted far too many, so pls open/enlarge only the most promising ones: link 2 my google album 😄
GATA? GOLD!
bill murphy + james turk + peter boehringer = great presentation in munich yesterday :-)
bill murphy (GATA.org) speaking + peter boehringer (DEG) sitting
james turk (goldmoney.com)
folks, gold is abt libertarianism, freedom, free markets, austrian economy, honest money, peace, minimization or even elimination of fraudulent systems like paper money / bailouts / quantitative easings / corrupt governments / states + their small dirty central banks and the like, u know? well, the evening was abt all of that and of course abt meeting other paranoid fellow gold/silver bugs, few other well known gold scene folks like dietmar siebholz + dimitri speck, few old buddies and some new folks as well ...
what did i liked most? well, it was again james turks speach ... even if i already know the content of his slides backwards, i simply like the clear and easy to understand messages of that really gifted public speaker ;o)
on the other side, there was too much upset and too much time spent on the 'evil' manipulation (to the DOWNSIDE) of the gold and silver markets by the bad, bad, bad bullion banks, FED, FEDs buddies like jp morgan chase, abt the recent CFTC hearings, etc ... i cant hear that stuff any longer, do u believe me? gold is a political metal so of course there is some manipulation out there, but e.g. the currency + bond markets are manipulated much much more esp. by the corrupt central banks via the official 'interventions' which means buying/selling huuuge amounts  of the given currency (= direct manipulation) or by willfully setting the interest rate for a given currency (= indirect manipulation), so what? if the demand for physical gold + silver would be stronger the price of gold + silver would be higher! it is really as simple as that, u see? well, the futures markets generate 'paper' demand for the underlying commodity (gold, silver, wheat, etc) which is not met in the physical market and thus are imho the future markets itself the manipulators of  the 'paper commodity' prices to the UPSIDE, of course!
guys, anyway, lets go buy some cheap 'manipulated gold+silver and say thx 2 evil manipulators like JPM & Co for providing this huuuuge buying opportunity, will u?
btw, im involved in the silver market with many ups and downs since 2005. the price was $7 per ounce back then .... the price 2day? $48 per ounce, which is +600% in 6 years!!! of course u can bother your calculator if u wanna some more precise numbers, im both too lazy and too stupid to get it correctly, anyway. what the hell is the price of gold? $1,563 per ounce = all-time-high, reached in the late trading hours on a friday, the day before weekend!!! (again 3 exclamation marks in order 2 show ya the importance of this 'event') ... what abt the production costs ('cash costs') per ounce of silver? the most silver producers out of mine stock portfolio produce between -6 (silvercorp metals) and +13.5 (u.s. silver in 2010) dollars per ounce, my average mexican producers get the silver for $7 per ounce out of the ground, i think. pls dont think the 'minus' 6 was a mistake, it wasnt. the silvercorp guys sell their zinc, lead, copper and other stuff, earn 6 bucks and on top have all silver 4 free ... what abt the silver price manipulation to the upside? lol
what was the most valuable insight 4 me? well, i really enjoyed speaking in-depth to a fellow junior mining companies investor i know for years .... and i think now i know why are our favorites and the whole portfolios struggling like hell despite the record high gold / silver / copper prices and why both of us fear the 2008 crash could happen again :-(  ... the reason is so simple and so sad at once ... btw, the most real reasons are really simple ... well, here we go: my buddy has no additional money to invest and neither have i :-((( ... got it? the 'old' investors have no money left and there are for sure no new investors out there! logical, isnt it? no wonder that on a normal or even on a strong trading day stay the share prices of the junior miners flat and on a weak day they are cheap like an unwanted pet. OMG!!!!! (5 exclamation marks, no comments)
pls dont bother me with questions abt the weak performance of industry leaders like barrick, newmont, gold fields, kinross, goldcorp, yamana ...  i think, all of them are below their 2008 highs. folks, the gold price was $700-$800 then, i believe. shame on them!!! imho they will not advance too much until they change their shareholder-damaging financing via convertible bonds (all institutional investors sell the stock if the convertible is some 5-15% above their purchasing level) and/or start paying ATTRACTIVE dividends for us owners ... btw, im going 2 sell few of them in the next market upswing and thus vote 'no' with my money to teach them a lesson, u know?
cheers!
.... finally, pictures uploaded: gata @ picasa
ps: sorry 4 that much senseless gossip up there! of course u shouldnt get 10,000 bad dreams abt gold / silver / money / state defaults / monetary reforms / riots in the street and the like! just live  ... and let live ... and pls do some good 2 humans and nature => an excelent 30 seconds eckhart tolle video included, a great message, enjoy ;-):
(addendum june 2011 ~ link 2 bill murphys presentation 4 hard core gold/silver bugs, 22 minutes, but im not going 2 hear it. why not? first cos ive been there and thus heard it already, 2nd because im not sure abt the good quality of recording ... well, bill spoke sometimes too quiet ... here we go: bill murphy in munich )
