well, on our way from the protest camp @ the u.s. air base ramstein back home to munich we've visited the medieval city of esslingen am neckar (in the federal state baden-württemberg in southern germany, DE-BW). just in case you would meet a native from esslingen somewhere, in the local swabian dialect is the city called esslenga. it was first mentioned in 8th century and became a free city in 1181. quite old, isn't it? 😉
