what a wonderful skiing in the zillertal valley in tirol, austria (=österreich), AT. 🏂🌋🌞 

i was alone, so i could wonderfully concentrate on my feelings + thoughts, especially abt my investment strategy for the next few weeks/months due to the soaring gold + silver + copper + mining stocks prices and the unbelievable volatility which most likely could mark some major market peak, cant it?

the most famous ski run in this mountopolis area is the steepest track in austria, harakiri with a 78% declension. i've tried twice, but the icy artificial snow piste vs. my 10 years old unserviced skis with completely blunt edges (stumpfe kanten) was not any nice experience. later they've even closed the harakiri run completely due to few injuries out there ... any lessons learned? yes, i've brought my skis to a service the very next day 😀⛄🍀

indeed, there was not enough snow in this mountopolis ski area, which is 1,600-2,400m high, so we've had just the artificial icy snow all over the place ...

if mountopolis, then start your tour at the horchbergbahn cable car from stockach / schwendau. why? you dont need to stray all over mayrhofen looking for a parking place and on top is the parking at the horchbergbahn base station for free. will you remenber that advice? promised?

what a wonderful ski experience in the tirolian alps (tuxer alpen) in austria. even if it is just middle of march and i've been quite high, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SNOW (and not enough water) IN THE MOUNTAINS ⛄🌋🌞 ... did we destroyed all climate yet?

the zillertalarena / zillerarena is a ski resort approx in the middle of the zillertal, which means ziller river's valley. my starting point was the village zell am ziller (575m). i was quite early, maybe 9:30 a.m., because it was just a 2:15 hours drive from munich today. the parking place was half empty and there was NO SNOW in the valley. there was also almost no snow all the way up to the middle stattion of the cable car (wiesenalm 1,309m). from here up to the highest ski run hill übergangsjoch 2,500m with its kapauns lift 2,502m came all the snow cannons to their best. in the areas between 1,700m and 2,500m was the skiing fine, ifyou asked me. btw, the other hills around are the karspitz 2,257m, isskogel 2,264m, kreuzjoch 2,558m, königsleitenspitze 2,315m.

the ski areal provides statistics of the day and it was also possible to record a short ski run which i could watch and download later using my ticket number at www.skiline.cc => well, i've had 19 lift rounds + 8,569 height meters + 46.5 km up & down today. as you have to register first, you would also get the stats of all season in associated locations (maybe even in whole austria?). what abt my video? it looks so slow and it was slow because in the late afternoon at PLUS 15 degrees celsius was the snow soft, mushy and heavy. anyway, here we go 😉🎿⛇

next time i'll probably visit the mayrhofen ski arena with its harakiri ski run, which is the steepest piste austrias or maybe the last station in the ziller valley, the glacier ski area in hintertux 3,200m?

as i browse my blog backwards, i see my last skiing in tirol was the wonderful sellaronda round in south tirol, italy in early february. my last skiing in zillertal was the 1st ski areal in the valley (coming from munich), hochzillertal in 2014 (go to link only if you are NOT AFRAID of spiders🐜)
