passau ~ the 3 rivers city in bavaria

enjoy few impressions from the medieval city of passau in lower bavaria (niederbayern) with its 3 big rivers danube, inn and ilz.

and yes, if you know, why is the mutual stream after conjunction called danube and not inn even if inn is twice as wide and its water color dominates the mutual stream for a kilometer or two, please tell me. will you? my guess is that danube is deeper or better known in germany than the basically austrian river inn, but it is just a embarrassing trial to explain something i can't really believe ...
addendum, july 2020: here we go, inn is at passau really bigger than danube, wikipedia says 😂
