funeral in bratislava (pressburg). combined in slovak & german language. on a beautiful sunny friday, 22.07.2022. many thanks to the evangelic pastor. she was so kind, she found so nice words and sung so nice for my mother & all of us to make the final farewell easier ...

Liebe Mama, seit meinem ersten Tag warst Du da. Jetzt hast Du Dich entschieden zu gehen 😕. Du hast Dich um mich, um uns 4 Kinder, sooo viel gekümmert und gesorgt ... für die Schule, Freizeit, Sport ... Mama, Mama, Mama, Du hast Dir oft den schwierigsten Weg ausgesucht ... Was möchte ich Dir noch sagen? Auf dem Grabstein Deiner Mutter steht: In Gottes Hand schon ohne Schmerz, schlaf ruhig, teures Mutterherz. Ich wünsche auch Dir, dass da wo Du jetzt bist es keine Sorgen, Angst, Arbeit, Schmerz oder Pflichten gibt. Nur noch Frieden, Freude, Ruhe. Und wenn Du von oben runterschaust, dann wisse, Deine Mühe war nicht umsonst .... Mama, schade dass Du gegangen bist. Mama, danke dass Du da warst. Mama, Ich liebe Dich sehr 💔

it is difficult to say anything ... of course, you have lived your life ... sometimes challenging & hard, often busy & engaged with full time work and taking care of us 4 children (and of father too 😃), but mostly happy and nice, i feel ... please know, all your effort was not in vain. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING + GOOD-BYE, DEAR MOTHER 💗😍🍀

mama, next chapter + swimming in the danube river, SK

i could visit my mother and my youngest brother's family in bratislava (SK) in september as the corona-measures were fine at that time ... the stupid masks were mandatory 'only' in shops and public transport  ... today (november), they have a mandatory corona tests in slovakia or you cannot leave your flat for few weeks except the nearest grocery store ... 

will they do the same procedure with the corona vaccination as well? who knows?

even if i was there only for a weekend, we have spent a really nice time all together. the highlight for me was the visit in bratislava's waterworks areal (children playgrounds, museum, community gardening) at the danube river AND the swimming in one tributary stream of the danube river 😃.

to be honest, i haven't seen any of these animals today

 

what about swimming in this tributary stream of the danube river?

 

even if the water was quite shallow, the stream was really strong.

you couldn't swim against the stream ... it is in real life difficult as well, isn't it?

i would not recommend this lake for swimming, my dears. why not?

it is much, much, much too shallow. 

even 50m away from lakeside is it not deep enough ...

 

i have a father, too ... thanks goodness, he is still healthy enough 😉
