as every august for 6 or 7 years, my wife provides a seminar for teachers in neustift abbey (kloster neustift, abbazia novacella) in south tirol (südtirol), italy, IT. my highlight this year was the hiking tour around the peitlerkofel mountain (2875m) in the dolomiti area of the italian alps.

btw, which of these four 'lakes' (see) is not a lake? ... got it? well, ebensee is just a name of the village at in southernmost part of lake traunsee that means here is everything flat ('eben') 😆

btw, the lake traunsee build by the traun river is the deepest lake (completely located) in austria with 191m.

what a nice stop over in plumlov (plumenau, plumau, blumenau) a historical hotel villa at an artificial lake plumlov in moravia, czech republic, CZ ... we've met a friend of mine petr who lives in nearby mohelnice (müglitz), we've had a romantic dinner at the lake side terrace in our almost empty hotel (the weather was not good enough for swimming) ... .

... there are more braunaus in the world than just hitler's birth city braunau in today's austria, you know? where? 

• in the czech republic (called broumov today. we have just visited the nearby rock formations in adersbach) 
• in poland. we've spent 2 nights in castle hotel brunow, silesia ~ schloss braunau, schlesien, PL. well, in lower silesia (niederslesien, slask dolny) we have also visited:
• small city lwowek slaski (löwenberg)
• the castle grodziec (gröditzburg) in grodziec (gröditzberg)
• city of boleslawiec (bunzlau)
• later in central poland:
• lodz
• ruda bugaj
• the art of living's ashram in taraska.

what a nice way to spent time with friends! bladenight munich ... every monday evening at 9 p.m. through all summer ... of course, just when it is not a rainy day ...

lake waldschwaigsee ~ karlsfeld bei münchen

what a nice afternoon with children at the quarry pond (baggersee) waldschwaigsee between langwied and karlsfeld 😊 it is a quite quiet place with no playground for children, no beach volley area, no barbecue area ... and there is just a small kiosk with a really limited selection of food ... anyway. it is a nice place to go close to the 3 crowded langwieder lakes, too. btw, the parking place in the langwieder street is still for free and even at a hot weekend day like today not overcrowded. 

i was not completely sure what does 'schwaige' mean and thought it could be s.th. with water. well, i've asked AI and look what they answered: Der Waldschwaigsee bei Karlsfeld verdankt seinen Namen einer früher dort bestehenden Waldschwaige, also einem Gehöft mit Viehhaltung am Waldrand. 😄
