south tirol ~ peitlerkofel 2875m + neustift abbey, IT

as every august for 6 or 7 years, my wife provides a seminar for teachers in neustift abbey (kloster neustift, abbazia novacella) in south tirol (südtirol), italy, IT. my highlight this year was the hiking tour around the peitlerkofel mountain (2875m) in the dolomiti area of the italian alps ... thus neustift was the last stage at our central europe journey this august. you still remember the previous stops?

i'll most likely upload pictures + insights later ... much later ... most likely in the cold + rainy autumn evenings, okay?

traunsee, ebensee, langbathsee, wolfgangsee - AT

traunsee + ebensee, langbathsee, wolfgangsee ~ oberösterreich (= upper austria), AT.

btw, which of these four 'lakes' (see) is not a lake? ... got it? well, ebensee is just a name of the village at the southernmost point of lake traunsee and means here is everything flat ('eben') 😆

btw, the lake traunsee build by the traun river is the deepest lake (completely located) in austria with 191m. just the lake bodensee between austria & switzerland & germany is with its 251m even deeper.

i'll most likely upload pictures + insights later ... much later ... most likely in the cold + rainy autumn evenings, okay?

castle plumlov, CZ

what a nice stop over between poland and austria in plumlov (plumenau, plumau, blumenau) a historical hotel villa at an artificial lake plumlov in moravia (morava, mähren), czech republic, CZ ... we've met a friend of mine petr who lives in nearby mohelnice (müglitz) and he prepared such a romantic dinner at the lake side terrace for all 3 of us in our almost empty hotel (the weather was not good enough for swimming).

the next day we have had lunch in the beautiful city of mikulov (nikolsburg) close before the austrian border. we couldnt get any reasonable parking place in the city center even when we circled twice around it and there was so much beauty to see that we've decided just to eat a fast lunch in a street leading to the historical center and to visit this city + wineyards region for a longer period of time some other day 😇

i'll most likely upload pictures + insights later, much later ... most likely in the cold + rainy autumn evenings, okay?
