may, 1st ~ let's stand up for a better world

as every year, the labor day celebration (tag der arbeit) is a nice opportunity to stand up for a better world and to meet some fellow activists. well, many of the munich's activist and democratic powers have been here: trade unionists, communists, leftist political parties, environmental activists, peace activists ... and this time also groups of kurds, catalans (free catalonia) and iranians, i.e. nations who seek independence or protest against current arrangements of USA/NATO aggression wars against their countries ...

if you asked me, we are still much too few activists and people who care about our community/planet out there in order to actually reach any impact. unlike the OccupyWallStreet (#OWS) slogan 'we are the 99%', the today's world is probably more like this:

• 1% are the really ugly greedy people (sometimes called 'elites') who try to destroy the world for power and profit
• 1% activists protest/fight against the above group
• 98% are ignorants who do not want to see + hear what happens around them and are not willing to say/do anything against the grievances. bread and circuses is everything what counts to them 

and yes, the elites know what destruction and what a death toll their actions / wars / laws / policies cause around the world. just listen what the opposition leader gregor gysi from the party 'die linke' told in german parliament 'bundestag' few days ago (in german, of course) to to german puppet government officials about current geopolitics, U.S. and NATOs aggression wars (= not self defense AND against international law):

the next big thing in munich's activists' calendar is the protest against the new planned bavarian  police laws which will give the police all the power to spy out / ban/ jail / ban citizens without legal trial. the suspicion by police is already enough

well, in munich we are still a small group of people from the montagsdemo - movement, who meet every monday evening (at 6 p.m. in the sendlinger str. 8) and stands up for peace. please come around, listen, take a flyer, share the knowledge, join us or join any other pro-peace and/or pro-planet movement :-)

CETA TTIP TISA TPP - freedom, why do you die away?

folks, our freedom disappears in slices: capital controls, upcoming cash prohibition, thanks edward snowden we know that NSA & Co. monitor everything, GMO (monsanto &co.) poison our food ... and then there is this ugly dictatorship of multinational corporations over nations and democracy called TTIP / TAFTA / CETA / TISA / TPP and the like ... so sad :-(

well, in munich we have been about 1,000 - 2,000 activists protesting against the CETA, the recently worded trade agreement between the EU and canada

what our planet needs

at least we protest with our feet (and i hope also with our money when buying stuff we need)

well, the war in mid east (syria, iraq & co.) is the main issue in egypt as well. especially the tourists from russia are hardly missing by egyptian tourist business after the russian passenger airplane was shut down over sinai / egypt few months ago...

well, it was nice + really warm air + water temperatures here even when we have only march, my dears. we enjoyed a rich sports program with volleyball, table tennis + swimming, so it was really nice for us from the tourist perspective. there was even not so much police/army controls as in sinai 3 years ago .... but yes, the folks out there i speak to were quite afraid that even massive protest against the system does not help as the police / army would always crash it down :( ...
well, there is a huge difference between bottom-up protests like the OccupyWallStreet movement 2011-2012 and between top-down organized 'color revolutions' like in ukraine 2014 (maidan), ukraine 2004 (orange revolution) or the capitulation of the whole east european socialists countries soviet union, poland, hungary, czechoslovakia, east germany, romania, bulgaria, etc. in 1989-1990, isn't it?

TTIP + CETA + CSU against the people

munich against TTIP & CETA at the congress of the ruling bavarian party CSU ...

why? well, i don't know how much do you know about these trade 'partnerships' between USA, CANADA and EU or any other imperialistic partnership like TPP (read more here) ... to make a long story short, it is a dictatorship of big industry over nations and over their parliaments. the parliaments don't care, they are going to sign the treaty anyway. btw, in berlin, there was a huge demonstration with 250,000 attendees against TTIP few weeks ago on october 10th, the biggest in germany in the last 20 years. if you asked me, i guess, the politicians will sign the treaty anyway, because they don't work for us folks, they work for the symbolic 1%, you know?

montagsdemo - quo vadis?

montagsdemo aka mahnwache für frieden

hi thomas + alle,

da ich jetzt nach einer woche familienbesuch (SK) zurück bin, kann ich nicht schon wieder den halben sonntag weg sein, sonst bringt mich meine frau um, glaube ich wink emoticon

so paar ideen / erfahrungen auf diesem wege:

- montagsdemo am montag zu machen finde ich megagut und ja, montag hat einerseits die tradition (ostdeutschland mit erfolgserlebnis am ende) und ist andererseits genauso gut / schlecht wie die restlichen wochentage di/mi/do

- wochenende (fr/sa/so) finde ich für mahnwache absolut ungeeignet, denn da möchte man doch mehr zeit mit familie verbringen, in die berge + zum schifahren gehen ... und außerdem finden praktisch alle großen demos in münchen an einem samstag statt (SiKo (sicherheitskonferenz aka die ehemalige wehrkundetagung, was dem wahren zweck schon viel näher kommt), TTIP, stop-GMO/-monsanto, gegen vorratsdatenspeicherung (acta + indect) usw.), so daß zusätzliche mahnwache am WE dann doch zuviel wäre

- die gewohnten plätze rindermarkt + odeonsplatz finde ich ebenfalls toll, denn frei vom megastraßenlärm wie z.b. das fast unerträgliche sendlinger tor und doch laufen viele leute vorbei, die (kurz) stehenbleiben + zuhören

- erfahrungen aus der occupy wall street + EDJ (echte demokratie jetzt) zeit 2011 - 2014: 

a) wir hatten unsere treffs auch auf verschieden orte verlegt (wittelsbacher platz, giesing, ostbahnhof, isartor, sendlinger tor, rindermakt, josephsplatz, ...) und der erfolg im sinne von neue leute erreichen war leider praktisch null. der einzige mensch, denn wir sporadisch hinzubekommen haben war die giesing-entdeckung magro, der ältere minutendichter mit hut ('partei mensch'), der auch schon 2-3 mal bei uns am rindermarkt seine gedichte / gedanken vorgetragen hat

b) andere form als open mic / assamblea haben wir damals auch probiert (musik, malaktion mit mega-leinwand vom publikum zu bemalen, radio lora sendung (nach ca. 6-10 mal mangels zeit/zuarbeit der gruppe eingestellt), demo-auftritt vom konstantin wecker, blog, facebook-gruppe, diskussionsrunde am rande des occupy-films, kammerspiele (open table .. oder 100 tische oder so ähnlich), teilnahme an demos wie z.b. SiKo, vernetzung mit ähnlichen gruppen, flashmobs usw.) => auch wenn musik sehr gut ankommt und viele passanten zum stehenbleiben motiviert, hatte niX dauerhaften erfolg, denn m.m.n nach war nicht unsere ausdrucksform schlecht, sondern das desinteresse der masse, leider :-(

c) die mehrheit reagiert auf ihr umfeld leider erst dann, wenn sie direkt betroffen ist, vorausschauendes denken + handeln ist mangelware, leider. so wird erst jetzt, wo die flüchtlinge nach deutschland strömen, vielen leuten klar, daß unsere ach so tollen waffenexporte und unsere ach so tolle finanzierung + ausbildung von terrorgruppen und unsere ach so tolle NATO-angriffskriege in der welt (irak, afghanistan, libyen, syrien, jugoslawien, ...) wohl doch nicht sooo toll sind und nun auch direkte folgen für deutschland haben (flüchtlinge). mit 'unsere' meine ich hier die westlich-christliche wertegemeinschaft aus USA, NATO, EU, IWF, WB, ECB, europaparlament, euro-eingriffsgruppe im mittelmeer, ...

und ja, vielleicht ist auch unser ziel (weltfrieden + bessere gesellschaft für mensch + natur ... will ich hoffen, daß das unsere ziele sind) etwas zu groß und nicht SMART genug (spezifisch, meßbar, ATTRAKTIV, terminiert) ...

aber ja, ich finde, wir sollten wie bisher weitermachen (vlt. ohne youtube-channel oder auch ohne anlage/micro, falls dies zu teuer / zu kompliziert zu gewährleisten ist) und hoffen, daß irgendwann wieder mal so ein ruck durch unsere gesellschaft geht, wo sich die leute für ihre zukunft interessieren und nicht nur das nächste FC bayern spiel oder die nächste DSDS-sendung im sinne haben. immerhin freue ich mich und sicherlich viele andere auf den montag um bei der montagsdemo gleichgesinnte zu treffen uns sich über aktuelle gesellschaftspolitische themen auszutauschen

ich habe gerade einen super, super beitrag über die blockupy proteste in frankfurt am 18.03.2015 anläßlich der neueröffnung der EZB gelesen ... so guter stoff muß natürlich weiterverbreitet werden und viele, viele aktivisten/innen und die bevölkerung erreichen :-)

Hiermit erkläre ich mich solidarisch mit den Aktionen zivilen Ungehorsams sowie den militanten Aktionen gegen Staat und Kapital im Rahmen der antikapitalistischen Proteste in Frankfurt am Main vom 18. März 2015. Warum ich das wichtig finde, zeigen die folgenden fünf Stichpunkte:

Scheiben klirren und ihr schreit, Menschen sterben und ihr schweigt

Im gutbürgerlichen Deutschland ist rechts und links die Empörung groß: So genannte “Krawallmacher” haben es tatsächlich gewagt, nicht nur brav im Kreis zu laufen, sondern -haltet euch fest- Autos anzuzünden. Ja, richtig gehört, Autos! Schon höre ich die Rufe nach Knast oder Arbeitslager…es hätten ja schließlich eure Autos sein können! Aber ich kann alle beruhigen, es waren sieben Polizeiautos. Es blieben somit am 18. März in Frankfurt am Main nur noch geschätzt knapp 2000 weitere Polizeiautos übrig, um den deutschen Polizeistaat aufrechtzuerhalten. Jedenfalls merke ich, dass ich in Deutschland bin, wenn Autos mehr zählen als Menschenleben im europäischen sowie im globalen Süden.

Sofort wird sich seitens des staatstragenden und parteidurchsetzten Blockupy-Bündnisses von den Aktivist*innen distanziert und sich öffentlich entsolidarisiert, womit das Bündnis den letzten Rückhalt in der Bewegung verloren haben dürfte. Aber nicht nur Blockupy entsolidarisiert sich, auch die Aktivist*innen der ehemaligen Occupy-Bewegung entsolidarisieren sich. Schnell bemühen sich vormals revolutionäre Aktivist*innen, autoritäre Deutungsmuster zu übernehmen und Protestierende in “Gewaltbereite” und “Gewalfreie” zu unterteilen und erstere zu deligitimieren und abzuspalten. Unreflektiert wird hier Polizeijargon übernommen und aus einer privilegierten Position heraus eine Deutungshoheit über Protestformen beansprucht, welche nicht einmal theoretisch fundiert ist. Es wird sich lediglich von “jeglicher Gewalt” distanziert.

Es zeigt sich hier ein extrem begrenztes Verständnis des Gewaltbegriffs. Es gibt viele Formen der Gewalt: Psychische Gewalt, physische Gewalt, verbale Gewalt, strukturelle Gewalt, systemische Gewalt. Nicht alle sind gleichermaßen sichtbar, nicht alle sind gleich verteilt, nicht alle haben dieselben Ursachen und nicht alle stellen Probleme derselben Größenordnung dar. Durch die Reduzierung des Gewaltbegriffs auf physische Gewalt, in diesem Beispiel auch noch gegen leblose Dinge, wird – von einigen bewusst, von anderen eher unbewusst – ein großer Teil der alltäglichen Gewalt ausgeblendet. Die Gewalt, die wir meinen ist nämlich alltäglich und allgegenwärtig. Sie ist systemisch und sie ist strukturell. Fast.Forward formulieren es in ihrem Beitrag “Verhältnisse” sehr passend:

Gewalt in kapitalistischen Verhältnissen ist Alltag.

Gewalt in kapitalistischen Verhältnissen ist strukturell.

Gewalt in kapitalistischen Verhältnissen ist autoritär.

Kapitalistische Verhältnisse können nicht ohne Gewalt existieren.
