steinberg am rofan, tirol, AT

we've had real winter in steinberg am rofan ⛄. we have been already there from the other side of the guffert mountains at the gufferthütte (1475m) few years ago, but never before in this beautiful valley. it is close to the lake achensee and to the ski resort christlum in tirol, AT (österreich, austria). 

what a great work-life balance in tirol😄. most of us could work online (was it 1 day? or two?) and the remaining few days we spent all together especially with our small grandson in the beautiful alp mountains. as our children are already adult, we do not see each other on a daily base despite the fact that both of them still live in munich, you know?

birthday at cottage gufferthütte, 1475m ~ austria

what a beautiful birthday celebration with my dear family with overnight stay in the DAV gufferthütte (1.475m) in austria. well, we didn't reach the guffert peak at 2.194m as the weather was not to good that two days and yes, we preferred to do not that much hiking/sports, so everyone could take pace and enjoy the weekend in the mountains :-)

we have crossed the german - austrian border behind the lake sylvenstein (bavaria) and started the tour close to lake achensee (tirol). enjoy few pictures 😃

our youngest daughter taught us the bavarian cards game schafkopf in the evening, but i'm not sure i still could remember all these complicated rules and funny verbal expressions of this game 😃
