ron paul on MH17

ron paul on flight MH17 ...

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17 / MAS17) was a scheduled international passenger flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur that crashed on 17 July 2014 ... so sad, the civil plane was shot down over eastern ukraine on ... so wise, my dears, just read his short opinion:

http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2014/july/20/what-the-media-won%E2%80%99t-report-about-malaysian-airlines-flight-mh17.aspx

source: here

and yes, the western propaganda works fine: the pro-russian 'rebels' did it ... CNN knew it few seconds after the crash, didn't it?
source: here

btw, few folks said putin was on his way back from south america (brazil) only some 20 minutes away from the crash  .... hmmmm, was it ukrainian army who shot down the wrong plane? or less conspiracious, maybe only because the plane has chosen a wrong direction (to escape a storm?) and the ukrainian army thought the 'rebels' have got a plane yet which must be destroyed? in any case, it looks like the tragedy happened by mistake. the MH17 was not the intended target, if you asked me ... who knows?

kuala lumpur, hello again :-)

back to KL, malaysia for 2 more nights ... let's say hello to our eldest daughter again (she will probably stay till november), write some postcards, walk through the city, eat some fine THAI food and drink some fresh squeezed out juices (on koh samui, thailand they used to have only juices from the bottle / can), swim in the hotel pool,  ...

of course, all the impressions, insights, pictures (KL album updated ;-), etc. are posted / linked in my first MALAYsiA blog entry ~ enjoy :-)

what about KL 3 years later?

tioman island, malaysia

malacca => taxi => intercity bus => mersing => speed boat => tioman island (pulau tioman, malaysia) ... yes, it is really as easy as that, 6 or 8 hours later we arrived in complete different world ... here in the northern part of the island (~ salang) there are even no roads, no cars, just small ways for motorbikes witch transport all the things needed from A to B ... and yes, water taxi is everything unless you like trekking through the jungle to the next village as i did today in order to visit monkey bay

well, now we are in the divers' paradise in the eastern malaysia - swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, watching the komodo dragon like lizards from the bridge over the (ugly + stinky) stream on our way to the beautiful beach, no rain season in the eastern part of the peninsula either ... komodo dragons? comodo? you still remember bali / indonesia 4 years ago, don't you?

btw, do you know what is the strangest thing out there? here is some tax free / islam restrictions free zone and e.g. beer costs only 30% what it costs in kuala lumpur or malacca => OMG, cheers :-)

OMG, komodo dragons ... nice

some updates and pictures will follow soon, as for now here is the link to my tioman pictures

well, here it is so nice, do we really need to move to the cameron highlands or perhentian islands later on? who cares, let's visit the monkey beach first .... my dears, tioman is a really, really beautiful island and still so original = jungle + beaches + sea .... and you know what? it is even nicer underwater with all its coral reefs + colorful fishes ;-)

#jarooccupies kuala lumpur, malaysia

(golden?) lord murugan in front of the 272 steps leading to the hindu temple inside the batu caves

well, we have arrived 3 days ago, spent 2 full days in the streets + outskirts of kuala lumpur, malaysia ... and i still have no opinion how to 'classify' the city .... it is so diverse, you know? there are many many ethnic chinese folks (more than malay i would guess), malay, indian, european, indonesian, and yes, there is also our eldest daughter for 4 months right now :-)

and there are huge differences between the rich and not so rich people / areas /  markets / houses / ... between modern and traditional way of life, between high end technology in one field and simplest tools somewhere else, between this and that ... and such a huge variety of food, dress codes, religions, ...

damn, before i tell you what i think, feel, did, etc ... i do better show you some pictures and one video, ok?

PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES ... as for now unsorted, without comments ...  i  will comment them later + upload some more + delete the uninteresting ones later, so just take it as the 1st trial :-)

soo many ethnic different folk groups ... and in so many ways the same :-)

what's next? well, our interesting day trip jungle tour at FRIM's site (Forest Research Institute Malaysia) in kepong close to KL where we enjoyed the canopy walkway pictures in the tree tops and malacca / malakka / melaka

KL 3 years later (march + april 2015).

best place 4 farewell party (abschiedsfeier) in munich? airport brewery ;-)

well, our eldest daughter moved for an internship to kuala lumpur / malaysia  for seven months, we will miss her sooooo much ...

anyway, the small familiar farawell party took place at a very funny place, the world's only airport brewery, the airbräu at munich's airport. so, munich is not only the home city of oktoberfest + hofbräuhaus, munich also has an airport brewery? what a lovely BEER CITY, wouldn't you say?

airports are usually infamous for overpriced food + drinks + souvenirs and bad bad bad currency exchange rates, aren't they? not so in munich! there is a grocery chain 'edeka' which sells its products for almost usual city prices and there is AIRBRÄU, the brewery restaurant :-). folks, a 0.5 liter fresh brewed beer for 2.40 €uros? it's insane, that's the cheapest beer i got in regular pubs in munich for years, even cheaper than at the #OccupyMunich meeting place One World House where a beer costs only 2.80 euros. only in some 'illegal' student run bars and not registered semi-private event locations or stolen is cheaper, believe me :-). you have to pay above 3 €uros for beer in munich, in my dear trader's treff hilton hotel it costs 4,50 and at oktoberfest 10 €uros (at oktoberfest you should get 1 liter beer for that price, but at a looong evening you probably get only 0.8 liter in an 1 liter glass, my dear ;-)

btw, the remaining stuff @ airbräu costs the usual restaurant prices and of course don't change any money at munich's airport. and yes. there is one more nice issue regarding airbräu, my dears. any ideas out there? no? c'mon, try again .... folks, u can actually park for free @ the very very central airport parking garage 'P20' => a damn good place 2 be, u know?

just in case u gonna visit munich for the very 1st time, don't start your 'sightseeing' at the airport brewery by drinking toooooo much beer, u could miss the rest of munich completely ;-)

few more farewell pics? here we go. btw, my youngest daughter censored the selection, so all 'people' pictures are gone ;-()

GOOD LUCK, MONI, GOOD LUCK
