salisbury

after we have missed the entry to the windsor castle 2 days ago, we have decided to spent a lot of time in (the cathedral of) salisbury in order to satisfy our 'old england' cliche (london, ...).

our nicest memories of salisbury? the concert of phat bollard in the pedestrian zone as we sat there for lunch. even if i couldn't understand all of their lyrics i had the feeling that their music and their intention is about waking people up and move them from consumerism and obedience into a nice world of love, sharing and self-responsibility ... like #OccupyWallStreet two years ago => #OccupyAllStreets + #OccupyTogether and yes, the great CDs from phat bollard can bring the south england feeling to our living room in munich / germany any time we want to :-)

stonehenge

our next stop after london + windsor were the old, old stones of stonehenge ... 4,500 years old, they say ... well, everyone we spoke to about stonehenge told us we will be disappointed, so we didn't expect much and were not disappointed ... we even really liked the 30 minutes walk (instead of using the cars to the visitor centre) on the way back beside old (celtic?) graves and through the fields and forest ... but the best about stonehenge was our accommodations some 10 miles away. a small inn with only 4 tourist rooms and a pub from 16th century ...

enjoy few pictures

TRUE, of course

we preferred to walk back to the visitor centre instead a train-car transfer
let's bring there 1 more stone :-)

lessons learned? never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life :-)

london

enjoy view insights + pictures from my father-daughter-program in london & south england

first of all, we have had nice weather as you can easily see at the pictures and yes, we have had nice time there. i have been to london 20+ years ago, but what surprised me this time most was that i didn't feel like abroad. strange, isn't it? maybe because we spoke german to each other and i also met 3 friends there i spoke german, slovak and english to. and yes, many things were somehow similar to our last year's father-daughter-program in new york. maybe because of the overwhelming surveillance all over the city :-( ... omg, dear broken system #stopwatchingus you can't afford it anyway😏

our next stops after london were (pictures + stories follow soon, i hope):
st. pancras station. we have seen it every day, but not only therefore it is this my favourite london view
