rohstoffmesse münchen / precious metals fair munich / 2025

after the corona break and 1 year some special event without the usual masses of private investors, the old precious metals fair aka edelmetallmesse is back in town. unfortunately, it was extremely badly organized, so the most investors even did not knew there is a show in the city and the very few who knew have had extreme difficulties to find the entry to the 'kleine olympiahalle' located below a green lawn as there was not a single poster or sign outside the hall and also none in the whole olympiapark area. well, i would guess we've had just 10% of the usual crowd out there. it is really sad for the attended mining companies who pay a price for a booth there and then have almost no visitors ...

i was there for 3 hours, met some old friends, didnt attend a single speach / presentation at their 2 always almost empty stages and presented that badly promoted event to my father who visits me in munich. anyway, i've bought few more (junior) mining shares next week:

  • MMG ~ metallic minerals corp. ~ recommendation of my long time investment buddy, axino's CEO wolfgang seybold. let's start a small position and watch its development ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.38 cad
  • PINN ~ pinnacle silver and gold ~ i like its CEO robert archer. he was the former CEO of great panther silver till 2017, later a board member and thus co-responsible for its bankruptcy/CCAA in 2022. unfortunatelly, great panther was one of my quite big silver mining positions and belongs to my top 3 failures up to date (to make a long sad story short: the new CEO invested in a gold mine in brasil and it went wrong). btw, the up to date performance of pinnacle (former newrange) i've bought 2 years ago is a catastrophy as well. for some reason i wanted to increase my stake to a round number of shares and average down my share price ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.124 cad
  • GMX ~ globex mining ~ i like the CEO jack stoch and the globex guys a lot even if the share price of this debt free company with huge portfolio of small mining properties does not develop very good (lower than most mining indexes, i suppose) ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 1.6 cad
  • PTX ~ ptx metals ~ i spoke to its CEO for very short time. i didnt wait for any info abt the company and told i'll look up the company on the internet later .... i've took his bussinss card ... and just out of good mood decided to start a very small position and watch its development in my portfolio ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.103 cad
  • SVE ~ silver one ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.382 cad. i've already had few shares from april at 0.221 CAD. i could self half of my SVE position in late decemberr 2025 for CAD 0.59, so the remaining position of this junior-junior silver explorer company is profit only holding
  • SVRS ~ silver storm mining ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.26 cad. price per share at my first trial in april 2025 was 0.135 CAD
  • AGI ~ alamos gold ~ a really profitable major mining company. one of its mines is located close to the SVE (or was it SVRS?) assets ... and therefore do the SVE / SVRS guys think their assets are a great opportunity 😀 ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 49.5 cad
  • QIM ~ quimbaya gold ~ canadian gold explorer with projects in colombia ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 0.88 cad. this was a stuoid move as i bought on recommendation of a promoter (friend) at very high price .... almost immediately broke the share price apart and even the extremely good overall market conditions for silver couldnt bring the price back (it was 0.53 CAD on december 18th, 2025). lets hope i can go out soon with no or just a small loss if the silver price continues to climb up the price ladder
  • FNV ~ franco nevada ~ extremely profitable major (gold) streaming company. do you know what streaming or a royalty company in the mining sector means? this are companies which provide cash to explorers or junior mining companies which help them to develop a mine. in turn they'll earn a net smelter royalty (NSR) of usually 2%-5% or a stream of gold/silver/copper/etc. at extremely favorable conditions for the entire mine life. this is usually a win win situalion for both parties of such an agreement. other big + well known streaming companies are e.g. wheaton precious metals (WPN), sandstorm gold (SSL). there is also the quite struggling gold royalty corp (GROY) in my portfolio which took over my phenomenally well performing 'atibiti royalties' (symbol RZZ, it was a spin-off from golden valley mines) many years ago. stupid me before (= my old me), i didnt increase my stake in atibity just not to 'destroy' the crazy profit percentage by adding more shares at higher prices ... how irrationaly stupid can an investor act, wouldnt you say? 😇~ FNV price per share incl. broker's fee 206.93 usd
  • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  •    ---  i've minimaly increased my existing positions in u.s. tech stocks ---
  • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • AMZN ~ amazon ~ i've bought it just by mistake. i was thinking about google and the stock prices were quite similar 😄 ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 221.7 usd
  • GOOGL ~ google aka alphabet ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 250.5 usd
  • AVGO ~ broadcom inc. ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 241 usd
  • POET ~ poet technologies ~ a new investment for me ~ some optical modules for AI and hyperscale computing centers ~ price per share incl. broker's fee 8.61 usd

edelmetallmesse 2019 (gold silver show - munich)

this year's gold, silver and natural resources show / convention in munich is over ... let's look foward to 2020 :-)

as every year, there were many familiar faces, gold bugs, libertarians, conspiracy theorists, friends, bullion dealers (so all the folks could buy physical gold + silver), analysts, fund managers, mining companies, newsletter writers, book sellers, speakers & co.

the following picture represents the financial markets at least since 2008 so well, if you asked me 😄
the central banks and especially the FED decide in which direction are the markets heading, isn't it? but probably not for ever ~ by markus blaschzok (blaschzok research, solit)

i've listened to many lectures on both days of this convention, my favorites were markus miller, markus blaschzok, gianni kovacevic, frank hellmeyer and peter denk.

so let show you few pictures and write my insights in between 😏

edelmetallmesse münchen ~ precious metals convention

enjoy few pictures and insights from the edelmetallmesse münchen (munich's precious metals convention) ~ november 9-10, 2018.

this time i could convince my youngest daughter to come with me, chakka :-). i think she liked the premises in city's transportation museum (MVG museum), listening to few interesting presentations, the many small gifts the exhibitors prepared for the customers, talking to few of my friends ... and yes, i hope she could also grab a view at our financial system and geopolitics outside the mainstream media ...

the fair takes place in the city's transportation museum (MVG museum)
one of the many overcrowded presentations / speeches

as always, all the gold bugs, gold promoters, newsletter and book sellers, mining companies (mostly gold, silver & copper), conspiracy theorists, bullion dealers and many old friends were here :-)

my favourite speakers were martin siegel, thorsten schulte alias silberjunge, claus vogt (with interesting view on cryptocurrencies & bitcoin), erich hambach and especially frank hellmeyer

edelmetallmesse 2016

next edelmetallmesse (precious metals fair) aka gold + silver show took place in munich again :-)

well, there were many interesting presentations about the financial and geopolitical situation in the the world as gold investments (silver investments ditto) have much to do with difficult times like the ours: shaky peace + dwindling freedom + undemocratic acting governments in the society we live in => many speakers told we should protest in the streets (as i already do every monday), so let's CRASH the SYSTEM; my dears or at least let's protect ourselves against the growing NWO ...
of course, there were also few chart analysis & pure price prediction presentations which i didn't visit at all.
erich hambach ~ let's inform the ignorant mainstream people about the presumable problems in our society
  matthias weik & marc friedrich
 thomas bachheimer
 thomas bachheimer
 thorsten schulte (silberjunge)
david morgan ~ the curve of mania
max otte ~ suggestion for current investment strategy
folker hellmeyer, bremer landesbank ~ a brilliant public speaker and smart pro-european (political) economist
the conference room in the public transport museum (MVG museum, münchen)
electric cars need a lot of copper, you know? tesla showed by gianni kovacevic's copper bank

i've got a nice dividend from my dear endeavour silver miners, a silver coin similar to this one:
source: here (2010)

the very good presentations i've attended at day #1. of course, i have left bad / boring presentations immediately :-)
  • erich hambach
  • volker schnabel (mack & weise vermögensverwaltung)
  • matthias weik & marc friedrich
  • dietmar siebholz started with some problems in germany, but later he just promoted gianni kovacevic's copper bank
  • thomas bachheimer
  • thorsten schulte (silberjunge)
day #2:
  • claus vogt, krisensicher investieren
  • david morgan, the morgan report
  • peter denk (only 20 minutes)
  • prof. max otte
  • bill holter
  • excellon resources inc. ~ silver producer ~ one of the oldest positions in my commodity oriented portfolio
  • folker hellmeyer, bremer landesbank ~ a brilliant public speaker and smart pro-european (political) economist

well, i've increased my commodity stocks positions as well and i'm going to buy bought few more on monday mostly at market opening in USA/CANADA in a sharp declining commodity market. gold + silver were down a lot and USD was up in the european markets => thus many of my limit orders were filled at a lower level then specified by me on sunday ~ 1 EUR = 1.477 CAD; 1 EUR = 1.103 USD => good luck, my sweet portfolio warriors :-):
  • excellon resources @CAD 1.94 => they are going to double production and to cut in half the costs in Q1/2017
  • vista gold @ USD 1.05 => i just had few USD from dividends left in my CAD based account, so i've slightly increased one of my few USD positions
  • first mining finance @ CAD 0.79 => keith neumeyer, the CEO of my single biggest stock position first majestic silver, started the company to take advantage of crashed prices for exploration properties and wants to wait to sell them later as the markets improve. let's wait with him ;o)
  • first majestic silver @ CAD 10.76 ~ my single biggest position ~ existing position increased
  • bhp billiton (ADRs @ USD 35.11 ~ existing position increased
  • endeavour silver @ CAD 6.27 ~ existing position increased
  • great panther silver @ CAD 1.80 ~ existing position increased
  • international tower hill mines @ CAD 0.99 ~ new position opened because of comparison of peer group seen in first mining finance presentation slides
  • spanish mountain gold @ CAD 0.14 ~ new position opened because of comparison of peer group seen in first mining finance presentation slides
  • nickel one @ CAD 0.075 ~ new position opened because of talks with CEO at the fair
  • pretium resources @ CAD 12.99 ~ new position opened because of comparison of peer group seen in first mining finance presentation slides
  • orex minerals @ CAD 0.465 ~ existing position increased
  • south32 @ USD 9.61~ existing position increased ~ south32 is a subsidiary of bhp billiton for the southern hemisphere
  • victoria gold @ CAD 0.6 ~ existing position increased
  • exeter resource @CAD 1.55 ~ new position opened because of comparison of peer group seen in first mining finance presentation slides
  • 92 resources ~ lithium in Northwest Territories, canada ~ existing position increased
  • zimtu capital @ CAD 0.19 ~ existing position increased

edelmetallmesse 2015 - munich gold show

the edelmetallmesse event was in new location in the tram / MVG museum in munich and it was nice as always: bullion dealers, mining companies, expert presentations, fiat money critic,  financial industry, NWO, xetra gold, austrian economy, the so popular refugee problem, many old buddies, ... and everywhere glitter of gold + silver :-)

i've listened to many speeches, most of them in full, here are the the guys + view insights:

thursday:
  • prof. wilhelm nölling
  • tomasz konicz (just few minutes)
  • thorsten proettel (LBBW)
  • ronald-peter stöferle ~ the oktoberfest inflation barometer: beer price development (remember 197, the end of gold standard + beginning of fiat money :-)
  • thomas bachheimer ~ omg, what a speech and what slides, watch few  pictures HERE
  • claus vogt
  • ernst wolff
  • dietmar siebholz
  • markus blashzok
  • DEG (deutsche edelmetallgesellschaft)
  • prof. dr. hans-jürgen bocker ~ omg, what a speech ~ this guy is so funny, but the content of his speech is not, it is (mostly) the truth :-(
friday:
  • robert rethfeld
  • gianni kovacevic (my electrician drives a porsche
  • dr. dipl.-ing. (FH) MPhil jürgen müller
  • willem middelkoop (only 15 minutes)
  • manfred zimmel (stock exchange astrologer)
  • dr. eike hamer ~ very interesting connection between trade volumes usa vs. europe vs. russia vs. china vs. BRIC and the 'new silk road' as the new economic power in which europe hopefully can still participate if it emancipates from the american stranglehold (as for now, because of the EU sanctions against russia many infrastructure contract went from german companies to chinese ... on the other hand, the trade volume between usa and russia increased in 2014 as the german politician sahra wagenknecht said in german bundestag some time ago)
  • johann a. saiger
  • folker hellmeyer ~ a great speech + a great show + great critic on USA imperialism
few pictures:
 the tram museum
thorsten proettel (LBBW) ~ germany profits from (weak & almost zero interest rate) euro. who is germany? government vs. companies vs. people

munich gold show

the next munich gold show is ante portas, my dears => go gold bugs go and let's crash the fraudulent fiat money system now :-)
golden buddha as a symbol for my faith that the most of my gold / silver / energy / commodities investments will turn out well? well, this buddha is probably not really made of gold, but the future of (most of) my investment decisions really is, you know? hell, i'll maybe look for the golden buddha in my thailand pictures at the weekend, but if not successful i don't think i would look for + digitalize + upload pictures we have made 20 years ago during our 1st visit to thailand ;o)

official information about the edelmetallmesse-event like place, time, speakers, exhibitors and the like is HEREof course, i will be the full 2 days (friday / saturday) there and post some insights, pictures as the time passes by :-). see you there?

what about a quote? gold mine is a hole in the ground with a liar at the top ~ mark twain
why did i tell you this? well, mining success is often about people, you know? so let's show you the management of few of my most important portfolio companies
in the middle keith neumeyer; CEO first majestic silver, my number 1 position by current market value thanks to the stellar company & share price development, acquired in many 'shots' between july 2007 and september 2012. the other 2 guys are richard mayr from argentuminvest + myself, of course
peter hawley, CEO scorpio mining + CEO scorpio gold. well, scorpio mining is my second biggest position right now and the biggest in terms of initial money invested. they have had huuuuge problems as the share price dropped from above CAD 2 below 0.5 this summer and then the founder + former CEO peter took over the company leadership again, the share price today? CAD 1.15 ... well, better than nothing :-)
on the right david hodge, CEO of the zimtu group (zimtu capital corp + commerce resources + western potash + equitas resources + strike graphite + ...)

there have been many many interesting presentations, the one i liked most was the by the famous trend forecaster gerald celente, but i also really liked philipp vorndran, uwe bergold, ralf borgsmüller, rolf nef  and max otte
gerald celente (as i could remember his words, later i will probably upload also 1-3 short videos at youtube, as for now i hope the organisers will upload all speeches to internet themselves): capitalism is dead. we have no capitalism anymore. in capitalism, there would be no bailout of banks like in 2008. we have a merger of state and corporate power, that's the definition of fascism. with our actions today we shape the future/trends of tomorrow ... thus do your best, my dears ... and yes, we can change the future and yes, our impact matters ... thanks gerald for these words, the most people do believe they are too small & to meaningless in order to change anything :-)

of, course i'm not superstitious at all, but as every year i have bought a silver coin with the chinese zodiac sign for the next year in order to bring me some luck at the markets and also few other coins, why not? anyway, welcome 2013, the year of the snake
australian + armenian + somalian silver investment coins

damn, let's show you also the prettiest side of the gold show: hostesses, lotteries, souvenirs and the like. can you imagine that there are folks out there who measure a state of a particular market (segment) by the so called hostess factor? easy, the more hostesses and the more naked they are at a related fair, the more preceded is that market. believe me, there is no bubble in gold, silver and mining stocks yet :-)
tombola at the sigorex newsletter writers group

well, i've also increased my stakes in following companies in november:

btw, my coverage of the last year's event is here :-)
