precious metals fair, munich / germany

folks, soooo many impressions abt the precious metals fair / show / conference right now ...

lets start with few key notes from day #1 (friday):
  • soooo many 'old' faces from the previous years (mining companies representatives, book/newsletter authors, precious metals dealers, visitors, fund managers, ...)
  • attended few interesting presentations ...
  • visited many of 'my' resource companies (there are more than 20 out of approx 80 exhibitors in my portfolio already, so there is much to do tomorrow as well ... its nice 2 get an update abt ongoing developments from the CEOs directly, u know?)
  • i've met rob mcewen, one of the savviest gold / silver investors and entrepreneurs out there (u.s. gold, rubicon, minera andes, nevada pacific gold, vg gold, lexam exploration, colt resources, ...)
rob mcewen + me
gonna learn german?
  • met also few other folks :)
  • met 3 rabbits ~ bought some silver (physical, of course!) ~ the year of the rabbit coins for 2011 in order to have at least that much luck + success in the markets next year as in the current year of the tiger :-)
  • met few old friends ...
  • bought few stocks:
  1. globex mining ~ approx +90 different projects in north america ~ Au, Ag, various industrial metals, rare earths, talc ~ increased existing position
  2. clifton star resources ~ gold in queebec/canada ~ a strong partnership with osisko mining @  their major project ~ new in my portfolio ~ BONJOUR!
  3. colt resources ~ gold + tungsten (= 'wolfram') in portugal ~ new in my portfolio ~ btw, thats prolly rob mcewens latest resource investment and the stock is already 40-50% higher than it was before the announcement of the corresponding transaction. any cold comfort? yep! the announcement was 1st, the crazy stock price movement was 2nd ... well, there are so many examples in the industry where 1st moves the price on heavy insiders trading and than (few days later and many many % higher) comes out the relevant message which explains all former WHYs ;-( ... anyway, to be honest, i prefer much more if im already invested and then rob steps in, u know? that was soooooo great for my portfolio when he invested in 'my' strugggggling vg gold a year ago! vg gold advanced +127% on that news on the very 1st day, of course :-). folks, i think u think ive bought colt cos rob did. true? nope! when investing, youve 2 pay special attention 2 the HARD FACTS, u know? a) they gave visitors an USB data stick with highest capacity of 4GB among all present companies. just 2 give u the dimension of the difference, some competitors provided sticks with laughable capacity of 256MB, which is 16-times (!!!) less => there is not a single grain of greed @ colt resources, u see? b) they have helen  (my heart). guys, believe me, u have 2 walk miles + miles till u see a 'comparable' pretty being. picture of her? nope! phone number? nope + nope! im telling u, do not beg, my dear. simply forget it, no picture 4 sure ... why? ... hmmmm ....... me, stupid idiot, forgot 2 make one :-(. u wanna at least the names of the greedies among the miners? of course i know them, but im not going 2 tell u cos two of them belong to my biggest portfolio positions yet, thus not wanna cause heavy selling in them before stepping out myself => hard facts, hard facts, hard facts! its all abt HEART facts :-)
  4. hell, hell, hell! i didnt get focus minerals (gold in australia) in germany even if i offered the ask price => ??? => lets hope i will get the stock even cheaper in australia on monday morning ;o). OMG! strange crazy world! the (sunday) night just started here in munich, in australia is prolly monday morning yet! why? myyyyyy shiny australian shares have been already traded and here they are lying in my account ... and on top theyre even cheaper and with lower commissions than at german stock exchanges. lessons learned? HEART facts + patience :-)
  5. some small additional 'shopping' will continue next week i think => thus after my buying offensive of the last few weeks there should be enough gold / silver / commodities in my portfolio, i hope ;-). well, ill update the company names below 2morrow evening ... here we go:
  6. the 2nd australian newbies beside focus in my portfolio are the iron ore fellows @ sherwin iron
  7. batero gold corp ~ gold in colombia ~ new in my portfolio
  8. EnWave corp ~ dehydration of food + medicine ~ increased existing position ~ i liked what the Co-CEO john told me
  9. soltoro ltd ~ silver/gold in mexico ~ increased existing position ~ i liked what CEO andrew told me
  10. detour gold ~ gold in canada ~ new in my portfolio ~ they werent @ the fair i think ~ its the top pick from one buddys gold list ~ lets use the excess liquidity @ my margin account therefor :-)
  11. amerigo resources ~ addendum tuesday 11/09/10 ~ the prolly last cheap stock on the entire TSX board ~ copper/molybdenum in chile ~ increased existing position
  12. great panther resources ~ silver in mexico ~ increased existing position
  13. end of money = end of shopping :-)
many new positions, isnt it? whats next? same procedure as always: lets subscribe for investor newsletters + lets watch their developments + let the intuition decide if i should increase/decrease my stake in the future ;o)

... a looooooong night in between ...

what abt day #2 (saturday)?
  • the globex mining guys invited few crazy folks like myself to an investor breakfast in the top floor of their centrally located hotel at a cruel cruel time, so that my ugly buzzer expelled my poor body from my nice-hot bed BEFORE 7 O'CLOCK!!! got it? it was on saturday, a day when all prudent folks make up their sleep deficites for the week! just unbelievable, these canadian miners, im gonna tell ya ;o). of course i wasnt awake enough and couldnt use my key-card properly to convince the elevator to lift me up ... ohhhh ... after some help from the hotel staff i was there and u wouldnt believe what a beastly view provides munichs roofs in that part of the city! such a nice hotel in such an unsightly neighborhood! anyway, at least it was easy and fast to reach the fair afterwards, thats just one example how experience pays off for fair's long term attendees globex, u see? after perceived 5 litres of coffee i could follow the discussion, hero me! in a familiar atmosphere presented the CEO jack stoch and his wife dianne few of their +90 projects & upcomimg issues, explained their joint venture & spin-off of advanced projects approach, asked for ideas for potential improvements and much more. folks, pls do me a favor, will you? pls   d o   n o t   ask me which metals is globex involved in! look better at the table below and ask jack or go 2 companys website in order 2 find out in which theyre are not, hahaha ... last but not least, there are only approx 22m globex shares out there, many of them owned by the mngmt and thus not 4 sale ...
huuuuh? one empty seat out there?
the ultimate periodic chart! both source and a great resource 2 study natural resources ~
    • asked bruno bandulet 2 sign his gold book i read currently 4 me. folks, these guy runs a gold/silver subscription service since 1979, i think. thats what i call stamina + experience
    • bought few more silver coins i liked. folks, pls dont think im heavily buying bullion at current prices ie gold $1,400 and silver $26, im not. why not? i hope i have already enough... btw, last time ive bought a significant amount of silver was the xmas 2009 when the paper silver price was approx $16 and i could buy directly from one of my best performing companies, 1st majestic silver at $18 per ounce. btw, they gave investors in munich the most silver per €uro this time [1 oz SILVER = 20 €uros = a thinny piece of worthless(?) PAPER] while the paper silver price is $26. a buddy of mine checked the prices @ all other booths there... wanna read more abt gold/silver yet? pls read my old old old 'summary' blog post HERE :-).
    • met my remaining companies representatives, attended 2 more presentations
    silver? gold? both?
me, scorpio mining, soltoro ltd (left 2 right)
    • had a beer (or 2?) with friends after the event ...

there was also an unofficial day #3 (sunday), u know? well, cos not all visitors leave munich the very next second the show is over, laura from clifton star resources invited few analysts, newsletter writers, the famous silver guru david morgan (btw, david was also one of the key speakers at the conference), my wife + myself 2 a tasty breakfast in a hotel near munichs main station. weve talked abt the markets, investments, freedom, constitution, energy and many other things ... u wouldnt believe that there are also more important things on planet earth than the current price per ounce of gold or silver, would u?

does everyone still remember last years event? yes? fine. no? fine, just follow that link :-)

    cheers!

#jarobuys cobalt + gold (formation metals + petaquilla minerals)

folks, folks, folks .... i'm such a crazy, stock exchange & shopping addicted alien!

well, i've been yesterday @ a resource conference in the best hotel bayerischer hof in munich, where 5 explorer companies + 1 trading company + the local stock exchange presented their stories to investors + general public + ... few of the companies and many of the guests have there been last year also and i could remember few of them ... i think it's nice to see some of the 'old' faces again, isn't it?

do u think there was much volume in their stocks today morning on the german stock exchanges? not reallly, few of them didn't trade at all! well, the earthlings are much more interested in free lunch (oooops, that was dinner time) + free beer + free coffee than to do some thinking for themselves ... not me! well, i just thought if that canadian companies have soooooo much money they could afford 2 invite the folks to the best place in town, they will prolly have some potential to upgrade their business anyway :). pls DO NOT TELL ME that the only reason they have 2 advertise like that is 'cos their projects are so sh*ty and they need sooooooooo much money 2 bring them into production and so on and on and on and on ...

i didn't know 2 of these 5 companies and i liked the story of the near-term cobalt producer formation capital corp. ... in winter 2009 renamed to formation metals (mines & major properties located in idaho / usa). well, even if i have invested last big portion of my idle money in july and early august as i've waited 4 the gold rally 2 come in august and was not at all dissapointed when it came in september instead, so i've opened just a small initial position in formation capital today. let's watch the company developments and maybe there will be a point in the future where i will have both, money 2 invest and faith in their operations 2 increase my stake . you know what? 3 of my portfolio companies sterling, sns, minco still fight in various legal issues on the sunshine silver mine / idaho. watch out, formation posses the Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery. crazy, isn't it?

what's the price of cobalt? i've no clue about that as there are mainly long term contracts between producers & consumers out there, BUT NEXT SPRING should cobalt become traded @ LME !!! it should bring much more public attention to that $6 billion market, isn't it?

what is cobalt used for? if i remember that correctly, it's for batteries, batteries and batteries, i think . hell, that formation guy was right! he told that todays so famous lithium-ion batteries contain more cobalt (approx. 60%) than anything else! wikipedia also confirms that from investment perspective so important fact "... Lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2) is widely used in Lithium ion battery electrodes.[23] Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) and nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries also contain significant amounts of cobalt. ... " still wanna know more about cobalt? ok, pls move 2 wikipedia 2 learn.

what about gold? few days ago i've also increased my stake in panama's emerging gold producer petaquilla minerals (see comment #6), which is one of very few companies in my portfolio they didn't decrease sharply as the gold price corrected a little this week, which draw down my struggling portfolio from its recently reached break-even-point by approx. -5%

hmmmm, i just thought if i'm really such an easy to impact dreamer or the like, so i just checked my results achieved with stocks of this kind of tip / information. folks, it is really unbelievable, but for some strange reason or an other that companies belong 2 my best performers! well, they didn't go up straight away after i've bought them and they've also been hit sooooo hard in that damned crashy october 2008 (pls, pls, pls, never come back!), but i've watched their developments and in few of them even increased my stakes between december 2008 and february 2009 aaaaaand => HERE WE GO:
    • western potash +99,29%
    • commerce resources +206,07% ... ohhh, in yesterday's so weak stock market additional +11,67%. damn, what's going up out there :o)
    • zimtu capital +161,94%
    • western geopower +43,88%
    • megastar development +41,67%
    • adamus res. +45,12%
    • dundee precious metals +57,39%
    • formation capital -5,13%
    • burcon nutrascience +5,15%
yep, i see, i should just buy companies @ presentations, isn't it?
in case u ask yourself why do i buy mostly small unknown companies and not the soooo successful blue chips, here is the answer: i've worked for siemens + bmw for sooooo many years and i've recognized there is 1 thing huge companies have in common: they waste soooo much of owners' (shareholders') money in such a stupid way that i think there is no need to give them my money on top. chakkkka!
    addendum, november 18, 2009:
big, big, big fraud @ petaquilla minerals !!!
folks, now i know why this sh*ty GOLD PRODUCER stock fell the last few months like a stone from heaven even facing these so enjoyable record gold prices ...
the company news were positive, i asked even their PR team if the management is fire selling the stock 'caus there was no reason visible from outside the company and got just the message that some director will respond soon, what he of course never did ...
you know what? today came the news that the company GOT THE NEEDED APPROVAL by some panama's (panamanean?) authority 2 operate the gold mine .... hell, that means the directors knew it doesn't look nice for the company, dropped the stock ... the price lost approx 50% in few days ... thx goodness and sooooooo fine 4 my portfolio 2day becomed the opposite option true and the mine approval is here. the stock is +91.11% now ... and +111.11% as i've finished that blog post ... and 2day's high was +126.67% ... and the closing quote is +117.78%(!!!).
well, my recently bought position is slightly positive again, the managers are buying their stock back like crazy (just my guess, they didn't tell me anything as i wrote above, but you know, just look @ the recent volume and compare it to the average ... )
anyway, I DO NOT LIKE PETAQUILLA ANYMORE :-(
ps: the symbol is PTQ (@ TSX in toronto)
    addendum, november 20, 2009
folks, i've got a call from petaquilla's PR guy luigi 2day ... what do u think was the message? of course, petaquilla lives in the best of all worlds ... now, where the mine permit is there + production rising + cash-flow flowing + plans 4 the future developing ...
what abt my question concerning the huge sell-off even if the gold reached one all-time-high after the next? .... hmmmm, you know ... there was no information to the shareholders for a long period of time (wanna move 2 company's homepage & check it?) .... you know ... one leaving manager was selling his stock (was he really? whould u sell a stock when the company has just started earning money? me not! even if i was an exploration expert moving 2 next opportunity i would hold all my shares + enjoy the ongoing gold production + cash-flow + dividends etc. )
well, the tape will tell us the truth soon!
on the other side, it was a very pleasant discusion and hopefully will that petaquilla-speculation work out well 4 me btw, in the past i've got already optimistic + very positive emails from CEOs and/or public relations folks from companies which went bankrupt just weeks later (web2corp) or have fallen 2 abt zero like bernanke's short term interest rates (greenshift, current quote is $0.0008 ... it is not a typo!)
    addendum, november 30, 2009:
folks, luigi was right, right, right! petaquilla is +18.37% today, my latest purchase (approx 2 months ago) is +58,39% already and my overall investment needs just a small increase of approx 9% to reach the break-even point (=> tomorrow?). well the bad feeling abt the recent strange developments (see above) will stay much longer :-(
some other commodity highlights from my portfolio 2day?
    • Aquila Resources +54.17%
    • Genco Resources +21.65%
    • Magma Energy +11.11%
    • Rochester Resources -11.36%
    • Source Exploration +15.91%
    • Sterling Mining -10.00%
let's read the company news, if any, from aquila + genco + sterling, maybe there is some major change in company fundamentals :o)
explorer stocks are soooo risky and sometimes sooooo exciting! there is no need for options/warrants/etc. LOL
... 5 minutes later ... aquila? drill results! ... Aquila Resources and HudBay Minerals Back Forty Drilling Intersects 20.2 Meters of 11.5 Grams Per Tonne Gold and 119.7 Grams Per Tonne Silver8:31 AM ET, November 30, 2009...
folks, just 2 let you know how crashy the stupid october 2008 crash in the explorer business really was, i'm gonna tell u how is my overall aquila position performing till now: hell, even if i've more than doubled my initial number of shares in january 2009 near the all-time-low quote, i'm still -52,10% down, down, down .... hmmmm, do you think, they will release some next drill results like e.g. (just my guess) 40.4 Meters of 23 Grams Per Tonne Gold sooooooooon? will they?
    go, commodities, go!

    addendum, december 2, 2009
folks, i'm not going 2 bore u every day with the latest petaquilla quote (promised!), but you know what?
yesterday was my break-even-point for the complete petaquilla investment, 2day is petaquilla +33.33%. crazy, isn't it? just think abt bondholders! they often need years 2 reach a 30% profit and then they have 2 pay taxes on that gain ... hell, that's boring! well, the volume was 5 times higher than the average, of course was there no company news release or anything else what would fundamentally legitimate that increase ... but who cares if the things are working fine?
well, now u know why i do not trade these kind of stocks or evaluate their charts or set stop limits :=). explorer stocks are like lottery, you never know how high/deep they will go if folks becomes fearful/greedy! btw, u still remember vg gold's +127% move up on a day when rob mcewen announced his investment in it? btw, the stock is much higher now ...
heaven, this investment stuff is soooooo easy!

    Friday, July 31, 2009

my column in BElog @be24.at launched 2day ;o)

folks, do not hesitate to visit me @ that funny austrian finance site be24: my blog posts. what was the first posting about? of course, it was about our dear homo habilis aka homo sapiens financialis.
    (source: www.eromism.com/img/homo_habilis_sapiens.jpg)

    homo sapiens financialis :-)

    leute, was LERNEN WIR daraus?
    • verschwende keine zeit + geld für falsche sachen
    • kaufe nur das richtige
    • das investieren ist sooooo einfach :-))
    ------
=> also die klassischen anlaufschwierigkeiten, stimmt's?

danke fürs vorbeischauen + lg aus münchen :-),
    jaro.
übrigens, hier ist der link auf den original be24.at-BElog :-)

    Tuesday, July 28, 2009

FORGET about the south sea company! REMEMBER vg gold :-)

what about homo sapiens financialis? after rob mcewen participated in the financing of struggling vg gold, the folks out there act like crazy lemmings! he had paid CAD 0.08 per vg gold's share, today (~4 trading sessions later) paid the folks CAD 0.405 (!!!). that's more than 5 times as much ... wanna see the 6 months chart? here we go: InformedChart ... well, let's watch if the price comes back down soon or if there is actualy a new level established

ps: i'm not sure if the homo sapiens did learn anything over centuries, let's look back to 1711 in tek's blog about the south sea company mania

pps: you still remember my initial blog post on vg gold issue?

ppps: thx goodness i've stuck 2 my investment strategy and didn't catch the fast buck @CAD 0.29 as the stock was @ CAD 0.405 today. btw, who knows how long will the party last?

indicated conclusions: do not waste your time + money on wrong things! buy just the right ones! this investment stuff is soooooo easy

as always, follow the InformedDiscussion here or simply drop a comment bellow :-)

rob mcewen invests in vg gold => +126.92% today!

    crazy gold explorer stocks!

folks, u know rob mcewen? yes? fine! no? also fine, just imagine the 'warren buffett' of the gold market

folks, pls tell me how stupid the homo sapiens finacialis is? yesterday no one liked my struggling portfolio position – vedron gold (renamed 2 vg gold recently), today is there a buying orgy as if there were no stocks tomorrow! the stock is +126.92% just now and sells @ CAD 0.295 … hmmmmm, didn’t the folks read that rob mcewen's lexam explorations paid just CAD 0.08 per vedron's share? will the price fall to CAD 0.08 later on? ... 5 hours later ... vedron closed @CAD 0.255 (+96.15%), the volume was 3,642,169 stocks. what about the avg. volume? would u like to guess? .......... just 47,300 stocks a day .... crazy homo sapiens finacialis!

thx goodness i’ve increased my stake in vedron gold in may by approx. 60%. not bad jaro, not baaaaaaad at aaaaaaaall, yabbadabbadooo
damned hell, why didn’t tweet rob that message to me before informing all these media guys? and when will he invest also in my other struggling (nevada based!) gold explorers/miners like bravo ventures, coral gold, miranda gold, … and when will he increase his own stake in u.s. gold 2 help his weak performing stock also gain +126.92% in a single day?

btw, 3 years ago (march 5, 2006), he announced to take-over 4 (nevada based) gold companies and bought 3 of them actually (nevada pacific gold + white knight resources + tone resources) … he also bought a major part of minera andes (@ CAD 1, current price CAD 0.83) recently, so let’s hope his appetite 4 gold stocks isn’t satisfied yet ... good luck, rob

ps: lexam explorations (one of mcewen's companies and the actual buyer of vedron's stock) is +35.71% today (maybe is their vedron investment at current price more worth than lexam itself - let's check the numbers later o). well, it's also nice 4 my portfolio even if lexam is still 50% down compared to my purchase price in summer 2007 (far before the october 2008 crash for most metal explorer stocks have destroyed sooo many dreams). btw, mcewen's flagship us gold is +2.33% today.

pps: folks, you still remember my comments about rob mcewen in my blog post concerning the gold-dow-ratio (
    Posted 07-19-2009), don’t u?

ps: 2 read the whole discussion, pls go informedtrades.

pps: folks, i do feel like if bravo venture could be the next take-over target ... wanna read more ? oki, pls follow here
    ...

addendum april 12, 2010: king world news interviewed rob mcewen on april 10, 2010 ... wanna hear the interview? pls go here :-)
In this interview Rob discusses the disastrous course of US policy, the possibility of hyperinflation in the US, consolidation in the mining sector, the coming explosive mania that will send gold skyrocketing in price and much more.

addendum november 5th, 2010: folks, ive met rob mcewen @ the precious metals fair in munich ... he was the key speaker of the conference, so i will prolly post some insights in my planned blog abt the event tomorrow or on sunday. just to let you know that (in his opinion) the time for buying gold/silver & mining stocks isnt over yet as he still sticks to the dow-gold-ratio in order 2 see when there is time for other opportunities than gold in the markets

    dow-gold-ratio :o)

the #1 GOLDBUGs FAQ: when will 1 ounce of gold (or 2?) buy the whole DJIA again?

100-years-chart (view full page here: http://twitpic.com/atjk8):

i've found & stored (= saved, not stolen ;-) that beautiful picture from http://www.usgold.com/ when the ratio was 15. they've changed the black background color to white ... and the ratio is 9 now ... as long as they will not remove that chart from their website you can always check the current ratio here.

btw, rob mcewen's us gold is my single biggest (stock) investment, but unfortunately still struggling a lot . anyway, i think/hope/believe they'll find some significant gold deposits ... and develop gold mines ... and pay fat dividends ... and their stock will skyrocket as goldcorp's led by rob mcewen did many years ago .

    take care,
    j.

ps: instead of care i would rather take share in that gold rally started in 1999 and lasting till ??? ... well, who knows that, but let's hope that this 100-years-old-indicator will not prove wrong this time :-)

addendum 05/25/2010: no, no, no!!! there is a guy who wants 2 destroy all my believes abt gold, stocks, good & evil ... OMG! OMG! OMG! robert rethfeld, the www.wellenreiter-invest.de guy, posted the dow-gold-ratio since 1800 and look: the ratio is not going 2 reach 1 or 2 any time in the future, is it? does that really mean that stocks outperform gold in the long run? btw, are the DJIA dividends included in the DJIA price calculation?

folks, im not going 2 believe that crazy stuff (posted on may 22th, 2010) 2day.... lets go 2 bed and think abt that 2morrow :-)

    Sunday, March 1, 2009

    part 2, casino trading (319 €uros):
folks, du u like casinos? no? i don't like them either, but i like to take some bets! well, i did wager between 55 and 120 €uros per trade hoping that following 5 highly bankruptcy endangered companies will rebound + multiply my stakes :o). well, i think if one company out of them survives it would balance the (total) losses of the 4 others. and if not? then it's also ok, it is just a game, you know? i still prefer to take some bets on the stock markets than to risk my money in casinos or spend it on pizza & porno as the crazy mogambo guru surely would. u2? (update january 2013) any lessons learned? well, it is very hard to make some money with bankruptcy endangered companies, many of them finally go bankrupt and the shareholders unlike creditors get nothing. in some other cases, like e.g. my 1,880 euros invested in novagold between december 2012 and february 2009 (see acquisitions part 3 below) it can work out fine. so this casino trading, my dears :-)
    • RBS (banking - new! folks, believe me, i do not believe in banking, stimulus packages, nationalization of industries etc. :o). this purchase is to some degree just a carneval joke! as i saw that stock in my seldom opened watchlist #2 today i LOL & couldn't stop laughing! i've invested 111 €uros and bought 400 shares just for the sake to participate in the current financial mess out there ;o) ~ (update january 2013) RBS is still alive, stock price advanced approximately by 50%
    • greenshift (clean energy, like RBS also highly bankruptcy endangered, my position and thus my overall risk is really low) ~ (update january 2013) bankrupt, stock price below broker's commission, one of my portfolio cadavers
    • sterling mining (Ag - established 1903, bankrupt 2009? well, i've bet €55 on their revival (=2,000 shares incl. commission), but without their (yesterday!) lost sunshine mine it will be very, very hard for them :-) ~ (update january 2013) sterling was taken over by a private company which changed its name to sunshine silver mines short thereafter. well, after many years of big nothing, in the end of 2012 there was some money paid to old sterling shareholders like me, probably because of some court decision, thus i have got 77 euros and thus made 15 euros profit on that trade after taxes + commisions => haha, could be worse :-)
    • qimonda (semiconductors - new) - 128 euros for 1,000 shares ~ technology leader + last european producer of some special kind of hardware chips ~ (update january 2013) bankrupt, stock price below broker's commission, one of my portfolio cadavers
    • hy lake gold (Au), 80 euros for 1,000 shares invested ~ (update january 2013) company is still alive but changed its name to West Red Lake Gold Mines, stock price is still at a bankruptcy level
part 3, stocks bought AFTER my new funds arrived (14,654 €uros):

    • newmont mining (Au)
    • MAG silver (Ag)
    • orko silver (Ag)
    • nanostart (nanotechnology) - i believe that nanotechnology is [besides to commodities & (renewable) energy] one of the favorite industries AFTER the 2008/2009-financial-crisis! do u still believe in banks & car makers?
    • ETF world water
    • q-cells (solar technology)
    • ECU silver (Ag)
    • endeavour silver (Ag)
    • goldcorp (Au)
    • eldorado gold (Au in Brazil, China, Turkey, Greece, and surrounding regions - new) - wrong timing here as the stock shoot up 200% to its all-time-high in the last few weeks. well, i had no free funds earlier. let's enjoy the company development anyway :-)

    • tribune resources (Au - new)
    • 1st majestic silver (Ag)
    • impact silver (Ag)
    • levon resources (Ag, Au, Pb, Zn - new)
    • rocmec mining (Au)
    • cuervo resources (Fe)
    • adamus resources (Au - new) - gold in ghana, an idea from last year's resource conference in munich
    • silver standard resources (Ag)
    • pan american silver (Ag)
    • hecla mining (Ag)
    • crowflight minerals (Ni - new) - succesful nickel price hedging closed (2.97 million pounds nickel @7.74 USD per pound) with a net profit of more then 10 millions! all debts paid back and a lot of cash (2.5 m) added to their cash reserves. not bad, but it was not the last positive news release in the last 2 weeks! they also shipped the first nickel concentrate from their Bucko Lake mine near Wabowden, Manitoba. why is the stock price still near its all-time-lows? i don't know, i suppose the folks out there are paralyzed by fear (DJIA is currently @ multi-year-lows) and didn't recognize super-duper company developments anyway. they just look at the ticker for the common stock prices (DJIA, s&p500, nasdaq100) and pee in their pants from fear! let them act that way, my stocks need also buyers who jump into the markets at much, much, much higher levels ;o))
part 4, stocks bought AFTER my crazy, greedy mind settled a little + i've waited for an opportunity to get that stocks cheap (1,145 €uros):
    • miranda gold (Au)
    • avino silver + gold mines (Ag, Au)
    • amerigo resources (Cu, Mo)
    • minera andes (Ag, Au, Cu) => argentum in argentina? that's cool, isn't it? even much cooler is IMHO the fact, that rob mcewen recently increased his stake in the company to approximately 37.4% of the outstanding common shares. his purchase pricewas C$1, my about C$0.58 => ??? why did he paid so much above the current price in current market conditions? well, i hope i can understand it sometimes, maybe it is just a special gift to the company, who knows? well, as long as he uses just his own money it shouldn't be a problem, should it?
    • bmw (automotive) => i've bought just symbolic 2 common shares to provide me + my wife the possibility to vote and to speak @ general annual meeting in may because my employee shares are not entitled to vote :o(. well, there is sooo much i would like to tell the bosses & the shareholders of the company, let's see if i will apply for speeking @ AGM and get the possibility to do so in front of a huge audience :o)
    • xstrata (commodities) => purchase warrants exercised
well, my timing was far from perfect again as the gold/silver price and the corresponding stocks came down a lot in the late february & early march, but i'm for sure not a talented market timer and i do not have the patience for 'bottom fishing' anyway :o)
could i fulfill my investment plan? yep, i think so ;-). of course i've found few additional promising companies since then (adamus, q-cells, tribune, cuervo...) or couldn't get few others @ reasonable price in low-commission-land germany (minera andes), but there was just 1 major difference to my former plan: i've decided NOT to invest 10K into a silver-ETF because i'm not sure they really have the PHYSICAL silver and maybe are the gold/silver ETFs just an easy way 4 governments/central banks to confiscate the pretty centralized people's gold/silver, isn't it? therefore i've bought gold/silver stocks instead as i'm sure they will go up in price if gold/silver soar :o)
