pershimco resources = gold + copper from panama

pershimco resources ~ canadian gold-copper explorer focused on panama ~ interesting presentation by CEO alain bureau in munich today

  • open pit gold project CERRO QUEMA located on the Azuero Peninsula in Southwestern Panama
  • high management + institutional ownership
  • additional project financing in 2015 needed
  • planned start of production: end of 2016, planned AISC: $631 per ounce
  • additional copper-gold project (its early development should be funded out of cash flow from CERRO QUEMA)
  • well, let's apply for company's newsletter and take some time to consider an investment but yes, more than anything else is the turn-over in the gold/silver/commodity markets and much, much higher gold/silver/copper prices needed, isn't it?

anything else? coming soon or never :-)

2012 ~ my financial disaster is over

my performance 2012 + outlook 2013++

the real year end numbers will be coming soon, right after the u.s. + canadian markets close or tomorrow if i should be already too drunken in order to forget 2012 asap ... but i can tell you right now, this year was a disaster not only for my buy-and-hold mining stocks portfolio like in 2011 but also my micro trading account suffered a lot. why all of that? unfortunately, mainly because the real world out there did not fit to my believes about the world, economy, markets :-(
  • my micro trading account ~ re-opened after 7 months break in may 2012 ~ strategy: long only commodities like oil, silver, orange juice, coffee, cocoa, wheat, corn, sugar + natural gas ~ mainly with stop loss orders and profit taking orders ~ approximately minus 2,000 €uros i.e. minus 67,30% => omg :-(
  • my investment account ~ strategy: buy-and-hold mostly mining or explorer stocks from the sectors gold, silver, base metals (especially copper + iron) plus some green energy and technology ~ approximately minus 74,000 €uros, the percentage is difficult to compute as i did often add new money into new or existing positions, but i guess the loss in 2012 was about 20% => omg, omg, omg ... all of my 2010 fictive profits are gone and 11% of initially invested capital is gone with it ... omg :-( ... btw, the most relevant underlyings for my stock positions gold and silver were up 7% and 8% in 2012 respectively. not too bad, wouldn't you say? well, the markets do not have to be rational all the time :-(((
anyway, let's hope the upcoming year of the snake (= 2013) will be much, much, much better for commodity investments than the year of the dragon was ... or at least that i will be able to adjust my strategy to the real world in the financial markets :-)

my outlook for 2013? not much different from previous years ... even if the current markets play the deflation card with falling commodity prices all over the board, i believe that the reckless money printing by our western governments and their small dirty central banks ECB, FED, BoE, SNB, BoJ, etc. will finally cause inflation, inflation, inflation with rising commodity + cost of living prices; the protectionism will cause a collapse of trade and the economy; the financial-military complex  will start a NATO war against iran even if iran did not threat any other country in the last few hundred years (unless the west would succeed to corrupt or assassinate iranian leaders or to 'buy' an al-qaeda / muslim brotherhood driven 'revolution' in iran ... do you remember the war template used in iraq, libya, syria?).

any other forecast? yes, the fraudulent debt + phony economy system will not survive 2013 as its lifeblood, the paper money system, will finally crash. why a monetary reform right in 2013? well, mainly because the system didn't crash in 2012, my dears and because there is a rising awakening and awareness all over the world, so there will be less people who will accept the power elites' solution which in the last few decades always was money printing + reduction of democracy + rising surveillance of own citizens + the like. just consider, 4 years after the stock market crash of 1929 came the great depression. now, 4 years after the crash of 2008 and after our current corrupt leaders made already similar mistakes as the past leaders did 80 years before (e.g. protectionism or the huge misallocation of capital through government's stimulus), the economy should reach the same disastrous state like it have had in 1933 i fear ....

anyway, go gold bugs go and let's finally crash the fraudulent fiat money system in 2013. yeah, let's make a better 2013 or at least a change for a better world :-)

#jarobuys oil ...

... more oil ... well, i think oil is much to cheap, let's bet on that inefficiency of the financial markets :-)

of course, i think that damned oil is much too cheap for some time now, so i've just increased my existing positions, but i'm still down on all of that investments / trades ... hmmmm, you don't think mr. market is right and i'm wrong my dears, do you?

hell, my 2 warrants that expired in the middle of november were sold at a relative small profit (the win on the first warrant could overweight the total loss on the second, the more speculative one). so i have paid taxes on the profit and re-invested all the money again. wanna see how dangerous warrant / options trades are? if you are right on the chosen combination of strike price and time, you make some money as i did a year ago, but if you are wrong, your options will be worthless at their respective expiry dates and you are going to lose all your money invested ... so be really careful, my dears and believe me, there really is a good reason why warren buffett calls derivates the financial weapons of mass destruction which means you can massively destroy your own account :-)

as for now, the performance of my call options is really poor, but there is still some hope for my derivative vehicles as their expiry dates range between november 2013 and november 2015 and their strike prices range between $85 and $115 per barrel.

go, oil trades go :-)

eric sprott

a great video with eric sprott, the canadian billionaire + investor + silver guru. well, eric sprott was the key speaker at the precious metals fair in munich last year. hell, hell, hell, eric makes  all that investment stuff easy: gold + silver + don't bother what other people say :-)

Speaking at the Casey Research Gold and Resource Summit (February 2011), Eric Sprott told investors that there is no more silver left to go around, "There's $22 billion of silver available in the world, of which the ETFs already own half, and between you guys and us we probably own the other half... Which means there's nothing left."

and yes, if you want to read / hear opinions of more austrian economist, just go to my link library  about libertarian proposals to solve the current debt crisis and to build a sustainable and prosporous economy ;o)

why i dont like investors/traders :-=)

yes, i especially dont like to be wrong on the markets myself .... but lets look what did my top 6 positions 2day (in €uros, of course ;-)
  • scorpio mining -12.3%
  • 1st majestic silver -3.2%
  • novagold -0.1%
  • u.s. gold -1.1%
  • orko silver -1.3%
  • endeavour silver -3.9%
damn, what happened 2day? well, after a small intra-day correction climbed gold to its all-time-high $1,496 and silver to its 30-years-high $43.43 per ounce (current quotes) !!!

who is crazy and whos not, my dear mr. market? any lessons learned? yep!
  • the investors/traders know the price of everything and the value of nothing
  • the 2008 panic selling is back in the markets :-(

mad world, isnt it? well, lets go against the crowd again, my gold/silver producers are not going to go bankrupt at these metal prices, are they?

ps: bad luck with my paper silver positions 2day as well: 2 out of 4 contracts sold during the shoooort silver price correction @ $42.42 and 42.24 (with nice profits) only 2 see the silver rally up to $43.43 after that

pps: i love my crazy wife

champagne meets investment

cheers!

where 2 start and where 2 end? hell, what a question on a day like that! folks, that was on thursday, a day when the small and till then not too succesful slovakian soccer team have beaten the reigning world champion italy in a crazy game 3 : 2 and thus qualified 4 the play-offs at the world championship in south africa :-)). go slovakia go! how 2 celebrate a success like that? folks, believe me, champagne meets investment was the right event 2 visit! well, it was organized by a small financial planning company EFC in the beautiful rooms of the old arco-palais in the very centre of munich. of course, there was a small entrance fee in order 2 avoid investment folks who just wanna eat and drink for free ...

the topics 2day?
  • real estate fund (tax saving investment, duration approx 10 years)
  • solar energy fund (a 20 years green investment with already defined 'government' prices 4 solar energy)
  • big picture market overview (hyperinflation?)
  • champagne "brugnon"+ delicious food from one of the 2 city's best catering companies dallmayr. btw, do u still remember the käfer-guys?
  • informal investor blah-blah abt markets, investment opportunities, hot stocks, soccer, south africa + africa + corruption slowing down the foreign investments, oil, gold, wheat investments (farm land!), ...
  • ...
me, trying and succeeding 2 open a bottle of rose champagne the traditional way ... like napoleon bonaparte used to ... by sword! hehe :-)

my best investment?

what abt my best investment? of course, best just in terms of money ... please dont think abt investment in education, in my wife (thx goodness, i've got her! nobody would work all day for sooooo many years without any salary, u know? lol), invetment in peace, future of planet earth or any 'feel good' stuff. pls think here just in terms of investment return, ok? what abt craaaazy +703% in 1 year? damned hell, why did i not bought that stock 2 months earlier (in 2008) as that would be a tax free profit in that 'old german tax law' case :-(

folks, it is the gold explorer levon resources (TSX.V: LVN, company website). i've bought 5,000 shares in late february 2009 because of all the good news in their newsletters i've subscribed for some time and because of the cheap price. well, i couldnt understand why did the share price not skyrocket on all the great prospects so i've decided 2 take a bet against mr. market, you know? i just thought, damn, it is not a valid reason 2 keep the price down just because nobody wants that stock or because the overall market collapsed (in march)! do u agree abt these points 2day, my dear mr. market, dont u? well, the stock price didnt do much in the next few months ... then doubled in june ... and came back in july again ... in order 2 wake up mr. market from his lethargy i wrote a blog post abt the riiiiising gold price acceleration in august 2009. well, mr. market got the message, gold climbed from $935 up to $1,200 and levon from my entry level @ EUR 0.079 up to EUR 0.663 (= the intraday all-time-high level yesterday = CAD 0.93)! gold exploration business is soooooo crazy, isn't it?

question #1: how does an increase of +703.78% look like? no clue? hmmmmm, it looks like that (all quotes in CAD, view full page here):

(5 years vs. 6 months vs. intraday)

question #2: how does it look like if an investment doesnt do well? hmmmmm, it looks the same, u just have 2 turn your head left or rotate the chart by 90 degrees in the clockwise direction. easy, isnt it? btw, im not going to post the corresponding charts of failed investments here. few of them are still in my portfolio (sterling mining, qimonda, RBS, hy lake, buffalo gold, ...), few others disappeared from the quotations list after their bankruptcy :-(

question #3: when is the right time 2 sell a stock like levon resources? thats easy! just look into my crystal ball and/or ask my dear 100-years-old indicator, the dow-gold-ratio :-)

my oil SPECULATION

folks, i've bought few oil call options (warrants). this low, low, low oil prices cannot last forever!!! let's benefit from return to normality i.e. increasing oil prices in the next few years :o)

trading symbol: DE000GS1T1R3 (~ GS1T1R)
underlying future: brent oil
strike: $90
date of maturity: 11/14/2011
price: €1.28

damned hell, there must be some price movement in the next 2.5 years! hopefully is goldman sachs (= emitter) not bankrupt before oil skyrockets & thus my call options makes me rich, rich, rich ;o)). sounds like an easy bet, isn't it? well, there have been also much longer running call options and therefore much more expensive ones on the market e.g. emitted by jp morgan (5 years) and societe generale (till 2016), but i think 2.5 years is enough :-))

what about oil INVESTMENTs (not speculation!) in general? well, my trading buddy valentin covered that issue recently, pls read his complete analysis (in german) in his blog ... thx, valentin :o)
